I have a question and want to talk to someone, how can I get in touch?
The simplest way is using our contact form here. Leave us your details and we will get in touch as soon as possible.
What does my first session look like?
First, we talk to get to know you in your current status - Clearly something has changed for you to be looking into physical therapy. It is important to discover what is bringing you to us and understanding the history of your symptoms. For new patients, what is making the symptom worse/better and what are your goals for therapy are a few questions to expect. During this process, we are seeking out different patterns that may be present, and it will lead us to explore different solutions for you to achieve your goals.
Testing - This hands-on aspect is crucial for a successful session. We pinpoint areas that require attention, demonstrate their impact on your physical well-being, and establish treatment benchmarks. Through testing, you will observe any range of motion or performance deficits, allowing you to witness the progress achieved by the end of your visit.
Treatment is Provided - Manual therapy is applied to areas identified during the testing portion. We focus on these aspects during treatment for your benefit. First we provide treatment to improve the range of motion of the joints involved. Second we address the brain - body connection by improving the muscle coordination of the joints affected. Lastly we attend to the soft tissues of the muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons.
Re-Test - the same tests we performed at the start of your session will be repeated so that you can compare the difference in feel and performance.
Self-care instructions - you will be instructed with the self-care techniques.
